Sustainability Conner

Decent Work and Sustainable means of Livelihood

We have created employment opportunities that have provided a sustainable means of livelihood in line with SDG goal 8 which aims to promote decent work and economic growth.

Climate and Environmental Actions

Improved culture of proper hygiene, environmentally conscious pupils on waste disposals, tree planting and preservation of the ecosystem promoted through our ‘discovery morning drill nuggets in line sub-target 4.7, which aims to ensure by 2030, learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development.

Schools

SDG sub-target 4.8, emphasises building and upgrading inclusive and safe schools. With the McNamic language room initiatives which some schools have implemented, we have promoted a conducive learning environment with modern educational facilities that have facilitated the ease of teaching and coaching children with special needs.

Life-Long Learning through Training and Workshops

Our program in the past nine years, recorded 264 sessions of seminars and training for teachers, parents and guardians, redefining the quality of teaching delivery and awareness of proper English sounds and communication among parents and teachers.

Gender Equality

Promote gender equality and eliminate all discrimination in education which sub-target 4.5 promotes. Girls are more aware of their right to education, retention, completion and transcending to a higher educational level, and the dangers in early marriage and childbearing.

Equal Access to Education

Project NCD is designed to promote sub-target 4.2, which states that by 2030, all girls and boys will have equal access to early childhood development, care, and pre-primary education. Beyond accomplishing this task of laying sound foundations for pupils, the project identifies and supports slow learners and those with reading deficiencies.
